I write this review to truly help ladies with sizing. First off- beautiful shoe and great quality. I am 5’3” 120 pounds slim athletic average width foot. I have shoes in my closet ranging in size from 6.5 to 8. I know you can relate – sizing is inconsistent amongst brands. This is what makes online buying a little stressful. When I find a deal on amazon, normally I try to try on the shoe in a store so I can be sure I’m ordering the right size but the shoes aren’t always available or in season. So here goes. With the shoe range I mentioned I do normally wear a size 7. I also really dislike the look of a big shoe on the feet. I definitely want it to fit and be comfortable but I don’t like boat looking feet! I’m a short girl. So I often purchase a 7 and if need be get it stretched. I read the reviews saying to size ½ up and others saying it was true to size so I was unsure. I figured since it’s a pointy shoe and patent leather which doesn’t stretch as much I’d go with the ½ size up. I also know my foot. My toes are a little on the long side and I thought I could probably use the extra room in the toe box so that also affirmed my choice to get a 7 ½ instead of a 7. So my advice would be to think about your foot shape, the material of the shoe (knowing you’ll get a little more stretch from leather.) I recommend anyone who wears mostly a size 7 but sometimes a size 7.5 go for the 7.5 in the Kate Spade Licorice. There is just the tiniest, slightest space in the back – a teeny, tiny gape where my heel should touch the back shoe but it’s really something that I think I only notice and will likely go away as I wear the shoe and it forms to my feet. This shoe feels comfortable for a heel and looks great. Very refined, sexy, classic nude pump. The caramel color is nude for my skin tone. I hope this review is helpful as you try to find the right size for you!I was a little worry about the shape of these shoes. I have narrow heels and it is very hard to find pumps that doesn't slide off from the back. Until today, I was only able to wear Stuart Weitzman pumps and some Jimmy Choo styles due the narrow heel design. I was pretty tired of the same style and I was ready for something newer and more affordable. Thanks goodness I decided to order these shoes from KS. They are elegant and even sexy due the 4" heel and toe cleavage, which is very little. They run wide enough around the toes, so they are very comfortable to walk on. I ordered them half size larger as I do with most Italian manufactured shoes.I ordered Ruby color and New Grey and they were exactly as the pictures, a gorgeous and classic deep red and deep neutral and elegant grey. My only complain is that they show a little bit of glue at the top of the heel and looks like they didn't tuck in the leather perfectly, but I only noticed it because I am a freak perfectionist and I can spot a minor mistake from miles away...hey, I have noticed this mistake in some of my Jimmy Choo shoes and they cost way more than KS. The sale price is right for the shoe quality, they don't worth the original price unless craftsmanship improve with the new models. Since I love the shape and fit, I just ordered another pair in gold and as soon other cute colors go on sale...I will be ordering as well. These shoes are very comfortable and really flattering. The first pair I ordered from Amazon I returned because during the first week of wear, one of the shoes developed a problem on its tip--part of the leather pulled back. I think the shoe was defective as I have never had this problem with Kate Spade shoes before. I contacted Amazon and was told I could return the shoes. Amazon mailed out a new pair of shoes that day. I am very happy with the new pair. I will take them, as I routinely do with my more expensive shoes, to my cobbler to have Vivran added to the sole of the shoes. This process greatly extends the life of heeled shoes.I am typically 9.5 in most shoes but I purchased size 10 in this one due to the pointy toe and the high heel. Having now tried on the shoe, I think my usual size would have been OK but I am keeping the 10s. The shoe itself is beautiful. I was looking for a twist on the usual black heels and this one is just perfect. It is a bit more dressy than most of my other heels and could also be paired with navy as well as black due to the blue/teal color. This is not a pair I would wear on a day that I would be running around from meeting to meeting but they are perfect for those days when I need to feel powerful and gorgeous... They would also easily take you from a day at the office to a date afterwards...It's a great shoe. Very comfortable. The heel is just the right height to wear all day. I usually buy Jimmy Choo's Abel, but heard they were discontinuing the style. I was looking for something more affordable that I could wear all day and these are perfect.Update: The heel broke 3 weeks ago and I think that shows how poorly made they are, considering I bought them in April. I've not had issues like this with other shoes. If I've had to replace a heel, it's because of years of wear & tear. It's a shame as I really like them. The first time I wore these to a reception other people could not take their eyes off them. I received many compliments. These are striking, high-quality leather shoes, made in Italy. The fit is true to size. The heels are a little high, but "il faut souffrir pour être belle," right? In fact, they are pretty comfortable for high heels, but I probably wouldn't be able to wear them all day.The color is beautiful: a rich ruby red. Because they are such high quality, they have a professional but confident-sexy vibe to them -- looking good and don't I know it! --- rather than a slutty vibe.Let me be clear: they are NOT slutty. But my husband loves them. Great shoes for dress-up occasions -- they'll make you feel like a million dollars. They would also look extremely good with skinny jeans.I'm a stylish 50+ British woman living in St Louis.
