The Karolina has quickly become my go-to heel because of its comfortable, classic design. I have a high arch, and the 3.5" heel positions my foot at a good angle so I can wear them all day. The almond toe is understated and flattering. Kate Spade makes these shoes in a high quality patent leather, and I appreciate that they increased the thickness of the leather sole as it moves from the heel to the toe box. It's a small detail that you won't find in a heel of lesser quality. Also note that these heels have a seamless instep, unlike a number of other similar heels sold at a the same (or greater!) price point; quite a few manufacturers save money by either glueing or sewing a seam along the instep, but those cheats look so tacky. I'm convinced that in the Karolina I've found the best value heel available today.I've purchased several pairs in a variety of colors; this year I added black and camel patent. It'd be nice if Kate would keep several of her nude tones consistent from year to year; the Powder Patent from a few years ago was the perfect nude for me, and I receive frequent compliments when I wear them.My one quibble with the Karolina so far been the insole. Over the course of a few days day the padded slipped down into the toe box. I solved the issue in my first pair by having the insole replaced by my cobbler when I brought in my heels for their rubber sole, but it was irksome to have to make that improvement myself. It looks like this year's model has stitching along the insole, so perhaps that will help. I'll amend my review after wearing this newest pair for a few weeks.Side note: The toe boxes in Kate's heels seem to be the same design if the shoe begins with the same letter. If you can wear the Karolina then the Kiki and other "K" shoes should be no problem. Cool, no?This is a gorgeous shoe. The yellow patent is a bright sunshine yellow that is neither neon nor gold. The toe box is short and round but pretty and the heel is slender. I was disappointed to have to send these back for sizing issues. I ordered a size 6 and a size 5.5. Although the 6 fit without walking off and was comfortable in width, there was a gap at the heel and a little too much toe cleavage (I don't have long toes so that is rarely an issue for me). The 5.5 was way too small - it fit well in length but the top of my toes were crushed and scraped by the vamp and the width was exceptionally narrow. The difference between the 6 and the 5.5 was significant - I feel like I needed a 5.75 if that even existed! Such a shame. I have another pair of Kate Spade wedges in size 6 that fit like a dream and are very comfortable. I would recommend the Karolina for narrow feet. These were a huge splurge for me, but the Karolinas are shoes that I can wear all day and be comfortable in. (With the caveat that I typically wear heels, so I'm used to a certain amount of foot discomfort). I usually wear a 7.5 or an 8 and ordered the 8 -- they're a little big but will probably fit perfectly with a thin insole or foot petal. Not to be an enabler, but... buy these shoes! They're worth the money.i really love these shoes - i own them in several colors. the only thing about this pair is that they are not as comfotable as the other colors i own for some reason. after awhile, i have to change shoes because they start rubbing the sides of my feet. i'm hoping i just have to wear them in a little more. really cute shoes overall and i love the heel. These are my favorite shoes ever. Unfortunately I lost my original pair last year when I took them off at the end of a party. So I re-bought them online and they ran a little small so I had to send back, But the ones I had before matched everything, and looked good at every occasion, Very high quality. I could wear to work or to a bar or to a formal party! Perfect staple show, and worth the extra price for something you wear so much!I normally wear a 9 but had to return the first pair for size 8 1/2. Rounded toe much more comfortable. I don't normally wear this high of a heel, so I was nervous about wearing them for my 10 hour workday, although I sit down for most of my day. They were fine. This shoe is just what I expected from Kate Spade -- flattering and comfortable. The actual color is a bit warmer than pictured on the website, which is a big plus for me, as it's closer to my skin tone. I debated about purchasing these, as I have a similar pair from a cheaper brand. That pair is so uncomfortable that I thought I would see if the ones from Kate Spade justified the price difference. I am happy to say that they are worth every penny. I no longer have to fear spending hours in my heels. The shoes are a beautiful classic look but I ordered them in the red leather and sent them back. Perfect color but leather was wrinkled! Even if you zoom in on the picture you can see it! Not what I would expect for $230! Had to send them back! Very disappointed!
